As well as recording the exercises and research points as specified in the course, I will also post about any other activities I take part in that broadens my knowledge and experience of music, such as concert visits, books and journals I read, films I watch and topics I research.

Continuing Work On Part 2

I am continuing to work on Part 2 while reading the novella 'Turn of the Screw', and watching the Britten opera. I feel that even though I have researched the opera and have a good outline for my essay, I will be able to speak with more authority on the subject if I have watched the opera itself, and also have a knowledge of the background material in the form of the original novella.

I am now rapidly approaching the second assignment. Once I have finished the novella and opera, I will complete the Britten exercise, then post on here all the subsequent exercises in the correct order. I will then be able to fully start the assignment.
