Beginning Project Four

Project Four deals with 19th century opera, with much of the focus falling on Richard Wagner. I have watched a handful of operas, and have enjoyed what I've seen so far, although there are still many 'classics' that I'm yet to experience. I find opera a tough nut to crack, but the resolve I commented on early in the course to further my understanding of this genre still stands, and this project provides a great opportunity. For the pieces of suggested listening, I'll listen to a selection from each, conduct a little research and write my own thoughts on what I've heard.
